Cleats Count was created in January 2016 by a young soccer player and entrepreneur from Rhode Island. Founder Taylor Ross, wanted to promote happiness, teamwork, love and opportunity through world's most beautiful game to help people through their tough times. Cleats Count's mission was to deliver brand new soccer cleats to underprivileged boys and girls around the world. The goal was to continue to travel the world in the hopes to change some lives (and have an extreme amount of fun while doing it). The dream was to grow enough to be able to not only deliver soccer cleats and soccer balls, but also build soccer fields at orphanages and other places that need them.
As of 2018, thanks to the help of our incredible supporters, that dream was reached. Co-founded by Taylor and her brother Jordan and built on this idea of believing we could do better than just soccer cleats, Cleats Count rebranded into Crossbar, a social enterprise that creates soccer goals, equipment and apparel and devotes 100% of its profits to building new schools with soccer fields in developing countries around the world.
